Looking for a stock analysis site where I can find “similar stocks” e.g. stocks similar to GOOG b/w 05 & 06

21 Mar

Looking for current stocks that model an older Stock based on similar price movements and/or fundamental data.
GOOG is just an example. Say I am a day trader who did great in CSCO b/w 3/06 & 6/06. Now I want to find a similar stock based on either price movement or fundamentals thats behaving similar to CSCO during that period. To use a screen, I’d first have to figure out the metrics for CSCO in that period which is not possible.

WOW – don’t we all wish it were that easy.

You want a company that will triple SALES in over 2 years and isn’t exactly small (GOOG was 50B market Cap Company in 2005), has no debt, generating free cash flow and stellar finances.

Which currently doesnt exist from what I can tell.

Run some screens on companies expected to grow greater than 5o% annually over the next 5 years, no debt, free cash flow positive and good returns on Equity (over 20%).

Start with that last and try to find some winners!

Here are 17 companies to start with – but this isnt a BUY list. Do your homework on each of these. Maybe 1 or 2 of them will be at least 1/2 a GOOG ;-)
