AMZN beat the street today. What affect does this have on tommorrow morning opening of market? The markets did so poorly today and AMZN went up 12.00% after hours
I say the very next day factory orders will start again and companies will rehire the laid off workers since the AIG insurance provides for the “Float” every company needs for it’s day to day activities.

This was on Oct 22, when Q3 earnings revealed that they had a 30% increase. My question is why on the same day the stock price lost nearly $3.
I’m going for a short outlook for Q4 earnings, I’m interested in HSY, CBY, NFLX, TGT, WMT, and AMZN. I believe these companies are recession-resistant. Thoughts?
News that AIG is paying 165 million in bonus to executives that guided it so badly that taxpayers were forced to bail them out? I think all bonus payments should be stopped until taxpayers are pad back. How about You?
I am new to trading and have noticed that the closing price of a stock is many times different than its opening price the next day. If I trade after hours, what price do I get? is it the opening price for the next day or do I actually get a price in between? Thank you

I used to work for this company where I opened an Investment account with UBS. I don’t work for them anymore but I still received a monthly statement from UBS. I would like to increase my assets. How do I go about this? How can I contribute more?
(Don’t write, CALL UBS, as your answer since I already thought about that. I need your input and any experience on this. Thanks.)
A Chartered Accountant went to Gulf and worked for various foreign oil companies. Sent all his earnings through banking channels. Returned to India after more than 25 years (every year he visited India with his family during school vacation period). Will he have to pay incometax on FCNR interest accruals? Will not he have any tax “immunity” for some period? He also invested in Canada Stock Exchange. When he plans to bring the entire investment back to India in USD how will this income be treated? Any tax benifits are there since he is no longer an NRI but declared his Resident status to his bankers in 2007 Jan.
