What is the best website for online investing?

I only want to buy in and out of one companies stock, and I only want to start with $200. I have never done this before, and really have no clue what to expect, which is why I’m deciding to start with such a low amount of money. Is there a specific site that caters for the less experienced and less active users? Are there hidden fee’s I need to worry about?
Do bigger online investing sites have more stock available to short then smaller ones?

For example, does ETrade have more stock available to short on most companies then a company like Scottrade?
I ask this because I have been attempting to bet against many companies as of late and many of them don’t have lots of stock to short or have none at all. I use Scottrade. Any recommendations to move to if this is fact?

I just graduated from college with a degree in finance so i know more than the average person, but i don’t feel my schooling prepared me adequately for truly being successful in the investment world. I was thinking about getting in on some penny stocks to just learn the basics and learn how a follow and predict s dtckd activity. is this a wise plan, I am very interested but being in MS there aren’t many brokerage firm I can go to and hassle people about taking me under their wings so I just gotta make my own lane. Any suggestions would be great!
Best Online Independent Investing Service?

I’ve heard a little about independent online investing, but I can’t make up my mind as to which service I should use.
I’m basically looking for something with a low commission rate, quick execution of purchases and sell, and great researching capabilities/software. I am very acquainted with dealing with brokers, but unfortunately their commissions are WAAY too high, and sometimes they are prone to forget about orders as well as recommend stocks that don’t perform.
Thanks for any info you can give, as well as any recommendations.

Is it possible to gain several hundred %/year investing into individual blue chip stocks by trend following?

I am 18 years old and I have an interest in investing into the stock market into blue chip stocks using various investing techniques such as following the trends and buying into what I call “sure things” after conducting research. I have thought about trading stocks using things like CFDs, spread betting and options, but I believe that this is gambling not investing – I’m being more realistic with my investing possibilities.
What I would like to know is if it is possible to gain several hundred percent return each year compounded by investing into individual blue chip stocks, and holding onto them while the trend is going up by following the trend and selling them when it has went up several percent within a month or 2? Could this strategy gain several hundred percent a year? Is it realistic and if not, whats a better strategy in your opinion?
