I am doing a school project that tracks a certain stock for a week. I need the AMZN openings, closings, highs, and lows for thursday and friday.

Or is this piece of news that GS will get $1 billion overblown out of proportion? Is this just mere enticement to make GS stocks look more lucrative than they really are?

Hi I’m looking for some advice. I am currently investing in Citigroup and just sold my Washington mutual stocks. I’m looking for quick short-term stocks to invest the profit I made from the Washington mutual “zombie dance” the other day. Anybody have any suggestions that can help me out? or Japan and sell them the next day on the NYSE or Nasdaq in an effort to profit from before market open or after market close earnings anouncements?

Looking for current stocks that model an older Stock based on similar price movements and/or fundamental data.
GOOG is just an example. Say I am a day trader who did great in CSCO b/w 3/06 & 6/06. Now I want to find a similar stock based on either price movement or fundamentals thats behaving similar to CSCO during that period. To use a screen, I’d first have to figure out the metrics for CSCO in that period which is not possible.

I have to do a stock market project and every weekend I have to take down some stocks from the DJI. but…this weekend I forgot. I know there is a way you can go back and find out, but I dont’ know how. Can someone give me some advice?

I trade only stocks right now but I’ve heard people swear by trading futures or forex. I’ve never tried either. Is one more volatile and therefore easier to make more money?

I just got a “realized gain” on a stock trade of $3.44. What does that mean? What are the factors used to determine a realized gain? A few days ago I had a “realized” gain of $400 on a stock trade. I am not sure what this means. Can somebody explain it to me in simple terms?

Also looking at HP which is at around 52$, and has been going up extremely well in the past 3 years ticket: HPQ

Looking at Soyo which is a penny stock that i might invest in for the risky jump that it might start going big, ticket: SOYO

Wondering if investing in Google will be a good investment, Jim cramer thinks it’ll multiply by 5x again, within several years to 3500$.

Dell does not seem like a good option as apple is so effectively beating it.

Have not looked at IBM at all.

On January 11,2010 these stocks reached new 52 wk highs but then started to plummet as China annouced it was tightening its lending and then media picked up on troubles with Greece. Do you think that the precious metals (in particularly copper) will rebound and reach new highs or are they gonna start trending down now.

Do you think they are good for shorting or buying long right now? Why do you think so?
